Refunds
Last updated: 2 July 2026
The short version
Clarity is free, there's nothing to refund. Control is a one-time purchase sold through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. If Control isn't right for you, email us within 14 days and we'll arrange a full refund, on top of any rights you already have by law.
Clarity is free
Clarity never asks for payment or card details, so no charge is made and no refund applies. This policy covers the paid Control tier only.
How Control is sold
Control is bought once through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates), acting as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record: it takes payment, issues your receipt, and collects and remits any VAT or GST. Your purchase is covered by both this policy and Paddle's buyer terms.
Our approach
We want you keeping Control because it earns its place, not because a refund was too much hassle. If it doesn't do what you expected, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll ask Paddle to issue a full refund of the licence fee, no lengthy process. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Paddle; your bank may take a few days to show it.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces the rights you have by law. Depending on where you live, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days. Because Control is digital content delivered immediately, that right can be lost once delivery begins, but only where you have expressly asked for immediate delivery and acknowledged losing the right, to the extent your local law allows. Where that consent hasn't been given, your withdrawal right stands. Our 14-day goodwill window above applies either way.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with the address you used at checkout and your Paddle order or receipt number, that's enough for us to find the purchase. You can also reply directly to your Paddle receipt to reach their buyer support.
Seats and add-ons
Extra device seats follow this same policy. Seats are refundable only together with the base licence; refunding the base licence ends the seats bought against it.
After a refund
Once a Control refund is issued, the licence deactivates: Control features lock and the app returns to the free Clarity tier. Clarity keeps working as before. See the Licence Agreement for full terms.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Switzerland and read together with our Licence Agreement (§7). Nothing in it limits any mandatory consumer right available where you live.
