The machine check ran without a CPU temperature

No CPU temperature came through during the check, so its CPU load ran the full time without the 95 °C stop.

Why this happens

The check normally watches the CPU temperature and ends its CPU load if it reaches 95 °C. Here no CPU temperature arrived at all, so the load ran its full length with nothing to stop it. The cause is whatever keeps the CPU temperature tile on the dashboard empty.

What to do

  1. Open the dashboard and look at the CPU temperature tile; its help says why the temperature is missing.
  2. Fix that first, then run the check again, and the 95 °C stop will be in force.
