Help and troubleshooting
When Aikonic cannot read something, it says why. These pages explain each of those reasons and what you can do about it.
Look up a message
Paste what Aikonic shows you, or describe the problem in a few words.
Check a report
Export a report from Aikonic and open it here. This page lists what the report shows as missing or failed, with the explanation and the fix for each.
The file is read by this page, inside your browser. It is not uploaded and it is not kept.
Which report to use
- Hardware report, for missing readings: in Aikonic, open Settings, then Data & exports, then Export hardware report.
- System verification report, for a check that failed: open Tools, choose Run verification under System verification, then Export report JSON.
- Tools report, for a test result: open Tools, run the test, then under Export test results choose Export JSON.
The hardware report holds your hardware's make and model, the Windows version and why each missing reading is missing. It leaves out your computer's name, user names and serial numbers. Aikonic shows the whole file before you save it.
