Two memory modules share one channel
You can fix this
Your memory modules sit in slots on the same channel, so they are not interleaved and run with less bandwidth than they could.
Why this happens
Most desktop boards have two memory channels, and a pair of modules is fastest with one on each. The board's manual names the two slots to use for a pair, often marked in the same colour.
What to do
- Check the motherboard manual for the slots to use with two modules.
- With the PC off and unplugged, move one module into the matching slot.
- Run Memory spec in Tools again.
