GPU readings paused after a graphics driver reset
Expected, nothing to fix
Windows restarted the graphics driver, and Aikonic stops reading the card until the driver has recovered.
Why this happens
When a graphics driver stops responding, Windows restarts it, and the screen may flicker or go black for a moment. Aikonic sees the reset in the Windows event log and rebuilds its view of the card instead of reading it halfway through the recovery. Every other reading carries on, and the GPU readings come back by themselves, usually within a few seconds.
What to do
- Wait a few seconds; the GPU readings return once the driver has recovered.
- If resets keep happening, update or reinstall the graphics driver, and undo any GPU overclock or undervolt.
If that does not help
If the GPU readings stay paused for more than a minute, email [email protected] with the hardware report attached (Settings, Data & exports, Export hardware report).
